The Church of God ”Worship Center” is a community church. That serves the community of Canton, Ohio. We strive to reach people of all walks of life, but those who particularly desire to experience a life of radical faith in Christ and are likely to respond to the challenge of experiencing the hand of God as a lifestyle. We encourage and are committed to a high level of participation in ministry by all who wish to identify with us. It is our vision to build a congregation of unified people that continues to grow until we saturate our community, our city, our nation, even the world with the message of Christ.
The Reverend Joseph W. Glover, Jr. was born October 20, 1954 in Warren, Ohio.Pastor Glover was saved August, 1978 at the York Avenue Church of God in Warren, Ohio, under the ministry of Bishop Timothy J. Clarke.He was called into the ministry in January, 1984 under Reverend Dr. Nobles C. Darby. In 1989, he was called into full-time service as Associate Pastor of the York Avenue Church of God under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Johnny Graham. He served this area of ministry for 10 years as preacher, teacher, worship-leader, youth director, music director, counselor and finance/office administrator.On September 11, 1998, he was called to the Winfield Way Church of God where he currently serves as Senior Pastor.In January of 2009 the Lord opened the door and blessed the congregation to purchase a new church facility located at 1014 Harrison Ave. Canton, Ohio 44706. The church has a new name which identifies its passion for God’s Kingdom, the “Worship Center”. The Church of God “Worship Center” has an anointed ministry that seeks to move believers into their assigned Kingdom purpose with passion and power. Pastor Glover has served as the Sr. pastor for the last 21 years.When you listen to him preach you will hear his God gifted passion to usher in the authority and dominion of God’s Kingdom to our generation. Pastor Glover believes that we are living in the acceptable time for the Lord’s Kingdom to come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven! That we are the chosen generation!
