jail & prison
 In the State of Tennessee there are over 150,000 men & women arrested annually and incarcerated in our prisons and jail. Over 26% of this number are between the ages of 18-24 and another 26% are between the ages of 25-34. Most of these individuals are not what we would really consider hardened criminals. Many of them are there because they know no other way of life. All are there due to wrong decisions. The COGWMC Jail and Prison ministry has joined forces with many other local churches to exhibit love and compassion to those in our county. Our overall goal is bring these souls to the knowledge of the Saving grace of Jesus Christ and His undying love for them. We desire to show them nothing can separate them from the love of God and He desires to bring them into a New Life. A life where there is hope and a future in Him. Monthly we minister by bringing the Word of God, songs and personal testimonies of our lives changed by the power of God. |
